EXPERIENCE
Mr. Samlan is an associate at Knechtel, Demeur & Samlan. Mr. Samlan often works with his clients in an “outside general counsel” capacity for companies that do not have enough day-to-day legal matters to justify having an attorney on staff but benefit from having an experienced attorney on stand-by who truly understands their business and industry. Mr. Samlan represents a broad range of clients from startups to internationally recognized corporations.
In Mr. Samlan’s intellectual property practice he works with clients on global brand and design protection, clearance and enforcement strategies. He regularly prepares and prosecutes trademark applications and assists in the management of global trademark portfolios. Mr. Samlan has considerable experience in e-commerce related intellectual property infringement matters. His experience also includes drafting and negotiating IP licensing agreements.
Mr. Samlan’s corporate practice focuses on business formation, contractual matters, acquisitions, dispositions and general corporate representation. He regularly drafts and negotiates agreements covering a wide-array of client needs including the sale of goods and services, partnership agreements, independent contractor agreements, buy-sell agreements, and distribution agreements.
Prior to joining Knechtel, Demeur & Samlan, Mr. Samlan served as political consultant to numerous political campaigns at both the state and federal level.
